Hey, you seem to look at this article a lot! Why not Bookmark this article so you can find it easily in the future?

As a web based company our clients often don't get to know the people behind the name they see on their screens. We want to take the mystery away and give you the opportunity to get to know the ComputerMinds a bit better. We're quite nice, although maybe we're a bit biased about that!

There are two James' that work for ComputerMinds, and two Steven's, which can get a bit confusing at times. Especially because the initial's of James Silver are the same as the initials for another colleague; Jen Smailes.  It pays to double check you are tagging the right person in this company! This article is about James Silver or @JS, which is what we know him as in the digital world (not to be confused with Jen Smailes!).

So James, which team are you based in?

Team Cov

What is the best thing about working in team Cov?

Hmm, probably the sheer ambiguity of the dry humour in Slack ( A year in lockdown has not helped with my ability to decipher it!).

When did you first start working for CM?

Wow, 12 years ago!

What is the best thing about working for CM?

Probably that CM took me back after I'd worked for the enemy (eta: another big Drupal company) , and were nice to me while I recovered from quite bad post-natal depression :)

Tea or Coffee?

Coffee, instant, decaf, with a little bit of hot chocolate powder in it.  And a drop of milk.

Do you have any hobbies?

Swimming, open-water swimming, walking around the same bit of pavement around my house every day (one of these isn't true and is a reference to lockdown...).

Can you tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

I once went for a party in the Queen's garden with my family. My Dad was a civil servant and worked on a particularly interesting project so we were all invited.

What is your favourite kind of Drupal work?

Anything to do with unnecessary recursion.  LOVE that.

Have you been involved with the development of any Drupal modules?

(checks profile on Drupal.org) Looks like I've contributed to over 50 modules.  I guess my favourite is Views Data Export, just because it got super popular, and that's pretty rad :)
